Neil has purchased the promising 4yo gelding – NOOSAFY by Magic Albert, sire of 22 stakes winners including the GP1 BTC Cup winner, Albert The Fat and stakes winners Ilovethiscity, Magic Cape, Fighting Warrior, Master Harry, etc.
He is out of a winning daughter of Flying Spur and is a half-sister to Gp2 and multiple black type winner Headwater. This maiden gelding is lightly raced having had 4 starts for a third placing at Bairnsdale and a close up 4th beaten less than a length at his most recent start at Kilmore.
There is a particularly meaningful connection behind the purchasing of this gelding at the recent Darwin Magic Millions Tried Horse Sale conducted on the 3rd August, 2017.
Several weeks before the sale, Neil’s stable rider in Darwin, Roger Booth, was talking to Neil about Noosafy and that he had ridden the gelding in his first 2 race starts and felt that he had very good ability and would be a good buy. As you probably know Roger passed away after riding one of Neil’s runners at Darwin on the 1st of July this year.
Since purchasing this gelding, Roger’s wife and 2 sons have joined the ownership group because of Roger’s association and opinion of the gelding and are very keen to follow his progress.
This gelding is currently in full work and the plan is for him to be racing in Darwin in the coming months.
