Jayeffkay saluted impressively at Murray Bridge on Wednesday afternoon making it back-to-back wins for the talented two-year-old.
The bay gelding took out the SABOIS two-year-old Class One Handicap (1006m).
It was a second win in five days for trainer Michael Hickmott after Unbreakable’s ROANT Cup win in Darwin on Saturday.
Jayeffkay, ridden by Shayne Cahill was pressured by Poppy Darling ($9.50) early in the race but fought on gamely to win by three and a half lengths.
“It was another nice win from a horse who is now two for two with our stable,” Hickmott said.
A big improver since arriving from Victoria, Jayeffkay is the stables 17th winner for the season from 79 runners.
Michael Hickmott has Arrow Lane and Lieder running in Darwin on Saturday.
