Michael Hickmott has sold unbeaten three year-old gelding Mulder to Hong Kong.
The Murray-Bridge based trainer confirmed Hong Kong’s premier bloodstock agent George Moore had negotiated a deal for the son of Foxwedge.
Mulder created a big impression in four starts in Adelaide, including a slick last-start triumph in a $100,000 race at Morphettville during the Festival of Racing.
“He is a horse with immense talent and a great deal of upside. I am glad that he is going to John Moore to continue his racing career. I am sure he will be top class in Hong Kong,” Hickmott said.
Although sad to be losing a horse of Mulder’s quality, Hickmott said his stable will continue to expand and thrive.
“He is going to be returned to us to retire after his racing career in Hong Kong has concluded, hopefully a successful one,” Hickmott said.
Mulder was owned by Hickmott’s fiancé Jade Kluske and close friends and loyal stable clients, Shaun Thorneycroft and Jenny Horvat.
