It may only be Moe on a Monday but this win today was pretty special for the team at DP. La Tigeresa has been cuddled and nursed back from surgery. Her win today was testament to the patience of her owners and to the diligence of our stable staff.
She put the writing on the wall on debut and won today in the style of a progressive horse. No hard held victory , quite the opposite , a last stride bob got the verdict. It was the fight she had to show as she was denied a clear run in the home straight that was impressive . Having to change direction twice to get a run she pinned back the ears and stretched the neck over the concluding stages. Ben Melham copped a suspension for his efforts , he is very much part of our team and sometimes well you simply take one for the team.
It’s a revitalised team that is plain enjoying it’s racing. The addition of Dan Williams and Dean Krongold to our management group is going to let Jason do what he does best . We want to satisfy ourselves that our owners are given the very best chance of success with the resources at DP . Those owners today include Eales Syndications who since the team changes have sent us two more horses to train . A big thank you to all our winners owners today , patience remains a virtue and we thank you for the support.
