Millionaire mare Fiesta can add to already impressive bank balance with a win in the Listed $125,000 Bright Shadow (1200m) at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The Chris Waller trained Fiesta has already earned just over $1.28 million for her Star Thoroughbreds Syndicate with three wins and eight placings from twenty-four starts and a win on the weekend will boost that number by another $72,500.
Two of Fiesta’s three wins have been in Group 3 and Group 2 company and she was also runner up in the 2018 Group 1 $500,000 Flight Stakes (1600m) at Randwick.
Fiesta has done most of her racing in Stakes company and Waller’s Gold Coast foreman Paul Shailer said that the I Am Invincible mare is well placed in Listed company this weekend.
“Like all trainers Chris looks for the right black-type races for these mares,” Shailer told AAP.
“We won a Group Three mares race last Saturday (the Sapphire Stakes) with Sure Knee who is yet another example.
“Chris has a great association with Star Thoroughbreds and they are wonderful supporters of the stable.”
Fiesta has been well beaten at her last two starts, her latest a ninth behind Love You Lucy in the Group 2 $175,000 Dane Ripper Stakes (1400m) at Eagle Farm three weeks.
The four-year-old mare’s best recent effort was three starts when a nose second to Love You Lucy in the Listed $85,000 Silk Stocking (1200m) at the Gold Coast on May 16.
Betting at Ladbrokes.com.au for the Bright Shadow has Fiesta marked at $15, well behind the $5.50 favourite Multaja while Love You Lucy is marked as a $10 chance.
The James Cummings trained Multaja is also struggling to find her best form and has been unplaced from three starts this campaign, her latest a fifth in the Listed $125,000 Helen Coughlan Stakes (1350m) at Doomben on May 30.
