Team sent four to Geelong on Tuesday and in the spirit of the Commonwealth Games we came home with a gold, silver and a bronze. The gold came courtesy of Miss Toorak Flyer who won her maiden at only her second start. A horse that has taken her time to mature she won her maiden in the style of the horse that is destined for better. Ben Melham did the steering and great to land one for local part owners Rosemont Stud. The Vobis cash was landed and the owners can now look forwarded to the rest of the prep with the bank balance looking very healthy. In the same race My Shu Mai went around at cricket score odds and steamed home to run third. She looks set for a progressive prep and a maiden looks well within her grasp. The silver medal went to Magazine Heights who ran a bottler on her race debut. Patience has been a virtue with her and she is another who will be landing the maiden sooner rather than later.
Team has a really smart crop of unraced gallopers working through the system and the future is starting to look very bright. A big thank you to all the team at home who have worked tirelessly of late to get the horses presenting in the best of order.
