It has been a long road back to the race track for Cape Sounion but he made the effort all worth it with a win at Avoca on Saturday.
Plagued by muscle problems & feet troubles early doors, it had been a frustrating time keeping Cape Sounion sound this preparation.
Thanks to our terrific team behind the scenes in our acupuncturist and farrier, we finally got Cape Sounion back to his best.
The race fell away due to a number of scratching’s & the favourite throwing the rider off prior to the race.
Cape Sounion settled back in the field, weaved a passage up the straight and was working to the line strongly.
He proved too strong & ran over the top of his rivals just getting to the front in the last few strides.
