It was another busy weekends racing for the team over the Easter weekend with 14 runners across four days & two states.
Saturday we headed off to Warracknabeal where new comer to the stable Linen King (pictured) broke his maiden status at his second start for the stable.
Coming from a city stable, the change of routine & a few minor gear changes seems to have done the trick with this gelding.
Great Lane was able to secure his second win this preparation. It was a well overdue win for the 8yo gelding who has had some hard luck stories to tell of late.
Sunday, was Stawell and Penola Cup Day.
Gold Medals as honest as they come ran an eye catching 3rd in the Stawell cup while Nimbostratus followed up his previous good run getting a narrow win earlier in the day.
Over the border at Penola we had Pourquoi Pas break his maiden status with our apprentice Melissa Julius aboard.
It was great to get the win with Pourquoi Pas who has had his share of soundness issues. It was great to be able to reward his patient owners.
We would like to thank all our owners for their support & congratulations to the winning connections of Linen King, Great Lane & Pourquoi Pas
