The winners keep flowing and the stable had a fine day Saturday . Violent Snow , the matriarch of the stable, ran a terrific second at Flemington to cement how well she is currently travelling . The farm and Balnarring beach are a great double act to help freshen up an older gallop and Violent thrives under this regime. She went around at bolters odds but she well fancied by the team and rewarded her owners at a cracking each way price. The $18,000 for running second is also pretty decent consolation and she looks back to her very best. She can land a country cup or a mares race over the coming weeks and we would love a stable full like her.
The winner came at Moe where Itchy Ears stepped up at only her second racecourse start. Her gallop last Wednesday suggested strongly she would be running competitively and again the owners stepped in to take the early odds. The ride from Linda Meech was supreme and the filly was super tough over the last 200m. Great prize money pick up for her many owners with the Vobis cash landed and the cheer squad on track made sure the world knew she was a winner. She has upside and was great buying by the boss in the bargain end of the market.
Team flying and the farm is a buzz with positivity . The babies are starting to shape as a smart bunch and the future feels pretty damn bright. Racing has a habit of kicking you back down but with normal luck in running we are set for an exciting season.
