Talented filly Miss Fabulass will be ridden quietly from a wide barrier in the Group 2 $200,000 Light Fingers Stakes (1200m) at Randwick on Saturday.

Trainer Kris Lees will be instructing Kerrin McEvoy to settle Miss Fabulass in the second half of the field after the Frankel filly drew barrier eight in the eleven horse Light Fingers Stakes field.
“The alley probably means we’ll have to be very neutral out of the barriers so she will probably be ridden further back than she has been,” Less told AAP.
“But I think that’s the best way to get her to switch off and she’ll be strong late.”
Miss Fabulass is having her first start back since finishing fourth to Oohood in the Group 1 $500,000 Darley Flight Stakes (1600m) at Randwick during the 2018 Sydney Spring Carnival and Lees said that the filly has matured greatly during her time out.
“Physically, she’s fine but she’s still got a few little chinks in her make-up that I think consistent racing will iron out,” Lees said.
Miss Fabulass worked her way through the classws in dynamic fashion and only two starts after winning her maiden at Canterbury in the middle of August last year went on to win the Group 2 $200,000 Darley Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) at Randwick.
Miss Fabulass is currently the $2.80 favourite for the Light Fingers Stakes at Ladbrokes.com.au while her stablemate El Dorado Dreaming is at the double figure odds of $14.
Lees is a little surprised that bookies have El Dorado Dreaming at such long odds but does admit that the Inglis Sires’ winner will be better suited over a longer journey than the 1200m of the Light Finger Stakes.
“There’s not a great deal between them, not as much as the market has got them,” Lees said.
“The barrier draw is probably more favourable to El Dorado Dreaming but they’re two very good fillies in for good preparations.”
El Dorado Dreaming has drawn the rails with Hugh Bowman to ride.
El Dorado Dreaming claimed Group 1 glory when trained by Ben Smith when she stormed home from the back of the field at the grand old odds of $81 to win the $1m Inglis Sires’ (1400m) at Randwick on Day On of The Championships during the 2018 Sydney Autumn Carnival.
The daughter of Ilovethiscity hasn’t won a race since but has been placed four times from five starts in good company.
