Finally it was Penny To Sell’s turn to pinch a race. Since her freshen up Penny has been flying without winning after a stretch of bad luck runs with more than genuine excuses for each run and more mentions in stewards reports than a journalists byline. Craig Robertson had shared a conversation through the week about his want to change the fortunes and with his recent hot form he was riding with confidence. Our team had also been buoyed by recent wins through the week that had everyone convinced that the tides were turning and Penny deserved her chance at a victory dance. Everything in the run panned out perfectly settling in a position just behind the main speed with pace up front. Coming to the turn she was travelling in a beautiful rhythm just waiting to get clear and going. Although always looking like she had the goods to get the job done the Darren Weir runner stuck to its guns and made the run home a true staying test.
