It was a case of deja vu for Strategic Force and Santelmo Fuego who both won at Hamilton on Tuesday and provided the stable with a double.
Strategic Force was back to the same track, distance and had the same rider as his previous win however had to lump 61.5kg against his rivals.
He settled back towards the tail of the field, where he doesn’t have to do any work and travels well within himself.
At the top of the straight Strategic Force had a big job to do, as the leaders hadn’t gone that quick up front.
Brad was able to balance him up and Strategic Force ran some quick sectionals to get his nose down right on the line
Santelmo Fuego, notched up his second win in a row after breaking his maiden status only 12 days earlier at the same track.
With Brad Rawiller in the saddle once again, we thought Santelmo Fuego did a great job going up in class, weight and distance too win convincingly.
Not many horses can win their maiden and then front up at their next start to win again. The future is looking bright for this 3yo gelding by Written Tycoon.
Congratulation to the winning connections.
