Skyway Star won her maiden in good fashion at Ballarat on Tuesday
With bigger targets install for the 3yo filly by Americain it was a relief to get her maiden victory out of the way.
Skyway Star certainly looks like a promising staying filly on the rise.
She jumped well and Craig Williams took bad luck out of the equation by settling her one off the fence, behind the leader.
She travelled well into the straight and went onto win by just over 2 lengths. The most pleasing aspect about her win was that she ran through the line without much encouragement from the rider.
