3 year old filly Tarcoola Spirit maintained her unbeaten record yesterday at Cranbourne, as she came away with a soft win to lay claims to an exciting Spring campaign.
“She wasn’t fully wound up today as we’ve got better races for her in mind” Trainer Jason Warren said. “She did a lot wrong, especially in the barriers, so for her to overcome that today we’ve got a lot to look forward to”.
The filly by Stratum was slowly away in the BM64 1000m race, but mustered speed to come off the leaders back on the home turn and cruise to the line untouched. Jockey Ben Melham was optimistic about the filly’s ability and that she would definitely be able to go through her grades.
Tarcoola Spirit is SuperVobis qualified and after yesterday’s race she has earned just under $55k. Her win also gives the stable a 33% winning strike rate for the month of August, with a couple more runners to come to round out the week.
