Rare air when they win back to back in town. La Tigeresa delivered this tonight with a win full of potential for the future. She was set a fair task by her regular rider Ben Melham as she turned for home fully eight lengths off the lead. She sustained her run to land the spoils in the shadow of the post . You sometimes get the feeling Mr Melham likes to test himself and horse to see what they have under the tank. This mare responded to his urgings in spades and she looks set to continue her advance through the grades.
She is a well bred daughter of the ill fated Street Cry and no surprise that Laurence Eales owns a fair chunk . Shocking and the great “Whobe” are two to grace his silks and if we get anywhere near their success with this mare we are laughing. All her owners have been beautifully patient and the smiles on faces this evening are as ever the reason why put ourselves through the pain.
The stats for our city runners this season are off the scale and the farm continues to thrive. It is at present the most wonderful place to earn a quid.
