Wilde Racing were delighted to score a winning double at Casterton yesterday with Tommy Standup who was having his first start for the stable and Hecta our promising 3yo colt.
Tommy Standup (pictured) was purchased at the tried horse sales after starting his career with Lindsay Park.
The owners contacted Symon with the view to purchasing him back through the sale ring and it has proven a successful buy.
The change of routine, scenery and environment has done wonders for the horse and he was able to score a comfortable all the way win with Harry Coffey in the saddle.
Hecta was having his first start back after a spell. He was a impressive winner on debut before going shin sore after his second start in town.
With higher class races in stall for him, it was nice to see Hecta return for an easy win in a 58 race with our apprentice Melissa Julius in the saddle.
Melissa has now out rode her 2kg claim and there couldn’t have been a more fitting way than to out ride her claim on one of our runners.
Congratulations to all winning connections.
