Exciting colt Unite And Conquer looks the one to beat in the 2018 $200,000 Magic Millions Wyong 2yo Classic (1100m) at Wyong on Wednesday.
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Unite And Conquer is the winner of his only race start down the Flemington straight in the Listed $120,000 Maribyrnong Trial Stakes (1000m) on October 6 and heads to Wyong following a win in a 740m Randwick barrier trial on November 27.
Unite And Conquer also matched strides with last Saturday’s Rosehill juvenile winner Czarson on the tracks and the stable’s racing manager Emma Pearce is confident the Hinchinbrook colt can get the job down again at Wyong.
“He has been going really, really well,” Pearce told Racing New South Wales Racing Desk.
“He has been working with another colt Czarson, who won at Rosehill on Saturday, and we expect both of them to be at the Gold Coast in January. I will be very surprised if we don’t win both feature races on Wednesday.”
Waterhour and Bott will also saddle up the Invincible Star, the favourite for the $100,000 Magic Millions Wyong 3yo & 4yo Stakes (1200m).
Both the Waterhouse and Bott trained colts, Unite And Conquer and Czarson, will head to the Gold Coast for the $2m The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2yo Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 12 and another win by Unite And Conquer will see him cement his place at the top of the market order for the $2m race for the two year olds.
Unite And Conquer is currently the $9 favourite for the Magic Millions 2yo Classic at Ladbrokes.com.au as well as the $1.75 top pick for the Magic Millions Wyong 2yo Classic.
Adam Hyeronimus takes over the reins from Stephen Baster on Unite And Conquer who has drawn barrier seven in the field for Magic Millions Wyong 2yo Classic that has been reduced to nine runner following the early scratching of the Mark Newnham trained Exceed The Stars.
